Severe Incisor Malocclusion in a Rabbit
This severe incisor malocclusion is typical of congenital dental disease of rabbits. A large percentage of these rabbits respond well to removal of all incisors (there are 6).
Guinea Pig Caesarean
Mum and pups (guinea pig young are called pups) 1 hour after caesarean section. The pups were eating a slurry mix 2 hours after the surgery!
Giant Tortoise (Aldabrachelys gigantic)
This Giant Tortoise, weighing over 200kg, was having an oesophagostomy tube placed directly into its stomach so we could feed it via the tube.
Important Update on Rabbit Calicivirus
You may have heard about a new type of calicivirus affecting rabbits in Australia. The newest virus called RHVD type 2 (or RHDV2) has been confirmed in Wangaratta, New South Wales, ACT and South Australia.

Is your pet unusual?
As you could imagine we see many different types of unusual pets. As stated elsewhere on our website 'It's what we do all day, every day'. So it's no surprise to us when the waiting room comprises of a ferret, a bearded dragon, a crocodile, a rabbit and a mouse - and of course the accompanying owners of the above mentioned pets!
